As we approach the 150-year commemoration of the American Civil War in 2011, Marcus Fabrics and Judie Rothermel are partnering with Homestead Hearth to create a very special block of the month program to run during 2010. The quilt features Marcus' CIVIL WAR TRIBUTE COLLECTION designed by Judie Rothermel, coupled with Homestead Hearth's original quilt design, based on classic quilt blocks and variations. The result is a beautifully detailed quilt measuring a generous 100" x 112", and conveniently divided into twelve monthly installments. The Civil War Tribute quilt highlights a variety of sawtooth and star blocks, the perfect showcase for 48 of the collection's 50 prints. Each of the quilt blocks represents a major battle fought during the war. You will learn about the battles as you go. A great way to look at history.
